The most challenging job in the web design process is creating an accurate project definition, it includes the project brief and project plan details. We conduct series of client interviews to define the actual scope of project, do brand analysis to understand purpose, the target userbase/audience, source of content, defining marketing communications strategy via web and technological specs. These exercises also help us to decide the timeline for deliverables and tasks for each phase of the project. At the immediate next phase, we design a comprehensive site diagram which is a visual representation of content outline and site structure. Based on our knoledge, gathered information and understanding of basic visual design principles (balance, rhythm, proportion, dominance), design elements (point, line, shape, color, typography) and user centered design (usability), we design mockup to meet the project goals. There are major steps as refining Technical/Functional Plan and to design/build and integrate the website. By reviewing the Project Brief, Site Structure and Visual Design alongwith client, we first confirm that everything is in alignment and supports the overall project goals and needs. Then we start to build templates using W3C Standards, create pages and code dynamic features of the site. Quality Assurance Testing takes place considering contents, links, functionality, validity, accessibility, browser compatibility, connectivity, basic usability analysis etc.
